Summary:
The Division of Biology and Center for Advanced Computing Research at the California Institute of Technology have established a Center for the Integrative Study of Cell Regulation (Cell Center). The purpose of the Cell Center is to apply computational techniques to accelerate discovery in the biological sciences. This new center is seeking to fill two research software development positions. These positions will work closely with scientists and researchers to develop and enhance scientific applications for research and data analysis.

Minimum Requirements:
The essential requirements are:
  1. M.S. (Ph.D. preferred) in computer science, math, or a related field, with significant undergraduate work or training in biology
  2. Five years experience in the development of production quality software using Python or C++
  3. Motivation to work in cross-disciplinary research and development teams
  4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Successful candidates will also have experience in at least one of the following:
  1. Algorithms for stochastic simulation or image analysis
  2. User interface design
  3. High performance computing, including message passing or threaded programming.
